Write the exposure
Direct sun on a dark part is not the same as a shaded porch. Freeze–thaw, standing water, and UV are different questions. If you cannot name which of those the part will see, you are not ready to shortlist a polymer.
Family notes that survive this page
Prusa describes PETG as useful for functional parts and warns about adhesion to smooth PEI; it is not a UV rating. PETG Prusa’s ASA note treats outdoor use as a reason people look at that family and still requires the usual enclosure and fume controls. ASA

Check the catalog, then the SKU
Open the material explorer with outdoor-use filtering. That URL is a reproducible family filter, not a product endorsement. A family marked suitable or recommended still needs the exact spool’s technical data sheet.
If a housing will also sit near a warm component, continue with heat-adjacent housings. Do not assume outdoor and heat-adjacent are the same test.
