3D Printer FYIA first printer should match a part you can name. This page names three catalog machines. It is not a ranking and it is not “best beginner printer.”
Selection rules used here: the machine already has an entity page, a retained product image, and either a documented USD offer or the sentence “Price not verified.” The selector applies a 50% coverage floor before anything enters a primary shortlist.
The three machines
Bambu Lab A1. Open-bed FDM. The catalog retains a USD offer and a last-updated observation date. Use this record if the part envelope fits the documented A1 geometry and you want a filament process.
ELEGOO Neptune 4 Pro. Open-bed FDM with a documented USD offer below $300 in this catalog. Use this record when the same process is required and the A1 offer is the wrong envelope or the wrong budget observation.
ELEGOO Mars 5. MSLA. Use this record only after FDM or resin says the part and the room want resin. The catalog retains a USD offer; it does not describe wash and cure hardware.
Disqualifiers
Unpriced flagships stay off this list even when they are famous. Machines without an entity page stay off this list. A missing current price cannot satisfy a budget requirement in the selector; it remains unresolved.
